Privacy Policy – BUILTSIMPLE
§ 1 Information about the Collection of Personal Data
(1) This Privacy Policy explains how BUILTSIMPLE processes personal data when you use our website and services. Personal data refers to any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person, e.g., name, email address, or date of birth.
(2) BUILTSIMPLE processes your data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other applicable laws. The purpose is to inform you transparently about the data we collect and how we handle it.

§ 3 Contact Form
If you contact BUILTSIMPLE via the contact form, we store the information you provide (name, email address, phone number, massage) in order to respond to your inquiry. The legal basis for processing is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, as processing is necessary for pre-contractual measures.
These data are deleted once they are no longer required for handling your inquiry, but at the latest three years after collection, unless statutory retention obligations exist.
§ 4 Newsletter
(1) You can subscribe to our newsletter to receive information about our current offers and services by providing your consent. The products and services promoted in the newsletter are specified in the consent declaration.
(2) To subscribe, we use a double-opt-in procedure. After signing up, you will receive an email at the provided email address asking you to confirm that you are the owner of the email address and wish to receive the newsletter. If you do not confirm within 24 hours, your information will be blocked and automatically deleted after one month. Additionally, we store your IP addresses and timestamps of registration and confirmation. The purpose of this procedure is to verify your subscription and, if necessary, clarify potential misuse of your personal data.
(3) The personal data you provide for the newsletter (in particular your email address) are processed by Squarespace, our technical service provider, for the purpose of sending the newsletter. The legal basis is your consent in accordance with Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. The data are used solely for this purpose and are not shared with other third parties.
(4) Mandatory information required for receiving the newsletter is only your email address. Any additional, separately marked data you provide is voluntary and may be used to address you personally. After confirmation, your email address is stored solely for the purpose of sending the newsletter.
(5) You may withdraw your consent to receive the newsletter at any time. Upon withdrawal or unsubscription, you will be immediately removed from the mailing list and your email address will be deleted without undue delay.
§ 5 Website Usage / Cookies
(1) In addition to the data described above, BUILTSIMPLE uses technical tools stored on your device for various website functions. These tools primarily include cookies, but may also include other mechanisms such as Advertising IDs, authentication caches, or HTML5 storage. You can consent to these features when visiting the website and at any time thereafter via your browser settings or our consent manager.
(2) Cookies and similar technologies are used to provide website functionality, improve user experience, and recognize returning visitors. Cookies are small text files or database entries stored on your device. They cannot execute programs or transfer viruses.
This website uses the following types of cookies:
Session (transient) cookies: Automatically deleted when closing the browser or logging out. Contain a session ID to associate requests from your browser with a session.

§ 6 Orders
BUILTSIMPLE uses the FITR platform to process orders for digital training programs. BUILTSIMPLE does not directly receive personal order data. Your data is processed exclusively by FITR.
The legal basis for processing your order data through FITR is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of a contract), as the data are required to provide the digital training program you ordered. Data are used solely for this purpose and shared only with FITR for order fulfillment and invoicing.
§ 7 Payment Processing
Payments are handled via Stripe. Stripe processes personal data necessary to execute the payment, including:
First and last name
Address
Email address
Payment data (e.g., bank account or credit card details, depending on the chosen method)
Legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of a contract). BUILTSIMPLE does not receive complete payment data, only the information necessary for invoicing and order confirmation. Invoices and the associated personal data are retained according to legal requirements, usually 8 years (§147 AO).
§ 8 Your Rights
You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

Right to withdraw consent and to object to marketing
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority regarding the processing of your personal data.
§ 9 Sharing and Retention
(1) Data is processed exclusively for the purposes stated here and is not shared with third parties, except with FITR or Stripe for contract and payment processing, and with Squarespace for newsletter subscription management.
(2) Data is deleted once it is no longer required for the purposes for which it was collected, unless statutory retention obligations exist. In the case of newsletter subscriptions, your email address will be deleted immediately after unsubscription.
(3) Third-Country Transfer: FITR, Stripe, or Squarespace may process data outside the EU. Appropriate safeguards, such as Standard Contractual Clauses, are in place to ensure compliance with GDPR.

BUILTSIMPLE reserves the right to modify this privacy policy. The current version is always available on our website.
